If you were a prison warden, would you support a no-frills philosophy or a rehabilitation philosophy?

As a prison warden, it is important to prioritize rehabilitation over punishment. A rehabilitation philosophy focuses on helping inmates address the root causes of their criminal behavior and provides them with the tools and resources they need to successfully reintegrate into society upon their release. This approach not only has the potential to reduce recidivism rates, but it also promotes a more humane and just criminal justice system. While a no-frills philosophy may be more cost-effective in the short term, it does not address the underlying issues that contribute to criminal behavior and ultimately does not serve the goal of creating safer communities.
