Imagine you have been assigned to give a presentation to your class on a famous classical musician (such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Chopin, etc.). As part of the assignment, you are required to use two different types of presentational aids. For this lab, find or create two different types of presentation aids that could be used during this class presentation. For example, you could create a graphic and a slide with text, or a picture and a poster, etc.

Think about the different types of presentational aids that can be used in a presentation. Decide which presentational aids you would like to create. Spend some time researching some information to include on the presentational aids. When creating the presentational aids, be sure to remember the guidelines for effectively creating presentational aids.

Using a word processing program, presentation software, or other appropriate tool, create two separate and different types of presentational aids that would be appropriate for this presentation. After you create two presentation aids, using a word processing program, answer the following questions:

What presentational aids did you select for this assignment?
Why do you think the type of presentational aid you selected is appropriate for this presentation?
What did you learn from the guidelines that you applied to your presentational aids?
Your presentational aids should use proper grammar and contain no spelling errors.

For this presentation on Ludwig van Beethoven, I have selected a visual timeline and a musical excerpt as my two presentational aids.

1. Visual Timeline:
- The visual timeline will showcase the key events in Beethoven's life, such as his birth in 1770, the composition of his famous symphonies, and his struggle with deafness. This aid will help my classmates understand the context in which Beethoven's music was created and how his personal life influenced his compositions.
- I believe a visual timeline is appropriate for this presentation because it allows for a clear and concise overview of Beethoven's life and career. It provides a visual representation of the chronological events, helping the audience to easily follow along and grasp the important milestones in Beethoven's life.

2. Musical Excerpt:
- For the second presentational aid, I have selected a musical excerpt from Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. This iconic piece of music will give my classmates a chance to experience Beethoven's music firsthand and appreciate his genius as a composer.
- I think a musical excerpt is appropriate for this presentation because Beethoven was primarily known for his musical compositions. By including a snippet of his music, I can bring the audience closer to Beethoven's artistry and help them connect with his work on a deeper level.

From the guidelines for creating effective presentational aids, I learned the importance of using visuals to enhance understanding, keeping text to a minimum for readability, and using multimedia elements to engage the audience. By incorporating a visual timeline and a musical excerpt in my presentation, I aim to create a dynamic and informative learning experience for my classmates.
