How does Algernon discover Jack’s dual identity?

Algernon discovers Jack's dual identity when he sees a cigarette case with an inscription to "Uncle Jack from little Cecily in memory of the day he was Wumpers." Algernon then realizes that Jack, whom he had known as Ernest, is actually the same person as his friend Jack Worthing, who he knows has a ward named Cecily. This revelation leads to confusion and comedic misunderstandings as the truth is slowly unraveled throughout the play.
