One day, Michael and Joshua were playing a game online when they saw a suspicious link. It said, "Click here for free coins! Enter your first and last name, birthdate, and home address to claim and enter to win a contest for a free PS5 from Paysation!”

Michael and Joshua were excited, but there were a few things that made this link suspicious.
1. First, the link was asking for personal information such as their first and last names, birthdate, and home address, which they knew should not be shared online with strangers.
2. Next, the offer of free coins and a chance to win a free PS5 seemed too good to be true, making it seem like a potential scam.

Michael and Joshua had learned about Proactive Protection Online, and they knew that giving out personal information online could result in identity theft. Even scarier, by giving out information like their home address, Michael and Joshua could be at risk of physical harm.

While both boys would love a free PS5, they decided to ask their parents for help. Joshua’s mom explained that they did the right thing by not clicking the link. It could have led them to malicious software that would try to get them to download something that could harm their computers. From then on, Michael and Joshua always made sure to be careful when using the internet. They knew that some things could be dangerous and that it was important to be careful.
