Write a memoir over the story The struggle to be an all American girl from the moms point of view

So probably five paragraphs. One paragraph highlighting how difficult life in America has been. Living in a land where the language is difficult to understand and speak. One paragraph how much the children dislike going to Chinese school and how difficult it is to force them to do something they don’t want to do. One on how critical the son is and how he points out every mistake often making her feel a sense of shame at being unable to speak English easily. One on how her own husband has made life more difficult for her. One on why it’s important for her to have her family honor their Chinese heritage.

Life in America has been a constant struggle for me as a Chinese immigrant mother. From the moment I arrived in this foreign land, the language barrier has been a major obstacle. Every day is a challenge as I try to navigate a world where English is the primary language, making communication difficult and often frustrating.

One of the biggest battles I face is convincing my children to embrace their Chinese heritage. They resist going to Chinese school and complain about having to learn a language they see as irrelevant to their lives in America. It's a constant struggle to instill in them the importance of preserving our culture and language.

My son, in particular, is critical of my struggles with English. He points out every mistake I make, making me feel a sense of shame and inadequacy. It's hard to see my own child, who is supposed to respect and support me, belittle me for something as trivial as language proficiency.

To make matters worse, my husband is not supportive of my efforts to maintain our Chinese heritage. He scoffs at the idea of learning Chinese and is dismissive of the importance of our cultural roots. His lack of understanding and appreciation only adds to the challenges I face in raising our children with a strong sense of identity.

Despite these obstacles, it is important to me to honor our Chinese heritage and pass it on to the next generation. I want my children to understand and embrace where they come from, to appreciate the rich history and traditions that make up their identity. It is a constant battle, but one that I am determined to fight for the sake of my family and our cultural heritage.
