My Dog

This is a poem about

Will Wordy

His bark breaks the sound barrier His nose is as cold as an ice box A wag of his tail causes hurricanes His jumping causes falling rocks. He eats a mountain of dog food

A love and devotion.

B respect and contempt.

And drinks a water fall dry.

But though he breaks the bank

He's my favorite little guy

C heartbreak and recovery

D disillusion and bewilderment

He may chew up my favorite shoes

And leave hair all over the floor

But when he looks up at me with those big brown eyes

I can't help but love him more

He's my loyal companion

My faithful pal

No matter how much trouble he causes

I wouldn't trade him for the world

So here's to my furry friend

With his boundless energy and joy

I'll cherish every moment we have together

My dog, my heart's truest joy.
