The Kingdom of Silla was one of the three kingdoms of ancient Korea, which existed from 57 BC to 935 AD. Silla was located in the southeastern part of the Korean peninsula, with its capital at Gyeongju. It was known for its advanced culture, arts, and political organization and eventually unified the Korean peninsula under its rule. Silla is also known for its strong military and diplomatic alliances, as well as its adoption of Buddhism as the state religion.
