Randy works for the city transportation department. He made a table to show the number of people that can be transported on different number of buses complete the equation to show the relationship between the number of buses X, and the number of people that can be transported. why so on the chart we had buses five people transported, 225 buses 10 people transported 450 buses 15 people transported 675 buses 20 people transported 900 and they’re wanting us to complete the Equation to show the relationship between the number of us is X and the number of people that can be transported why so the first one is it why or X and what does it equal? Would it be 540 or 45 and the last one would it be why or X?

The relationship between the number of buses (X) and the number of people that can be transported can be represented by the equation:

Y = 45X

In this equation, Y represents the number of people that can be transported and X represents the number of buses.

So, for the first scenario where 5 buses can transport 225 people, we can plug in X = 5 into the equation:

Y = 45(5)
Y = 225

And for the last scenario where 900 buses can transport 20 people, we can plug in X = 900 into the equation:

Y = 45(900)
Y = 40500

Therefore, the completed equation would be Y = 45X.
