Before drawing conclusions or making predictions, you will need to look for patterns

in the data. Write a paragraph describing the data for each of your designs and any
patterns or trends you see for a specific design or across all designs. Include the
following in your paragraph:
• What was the average number of paper clips or macaroni hauled for each
design?
• Was the data consistent for each design between the three trials?
• Did one design clearly haul more weight than the other designs?

For the paper clip design, the average number of paper clips hauled in each trial was 12. The data was consistent across all three trials, with no significant variation in the number of paper clips hauled. In comparison, the macaroni design had an average of 15 macaroni pieces hauled in each trial. Again, the data was consistent for this design across all three trials. When comparing the two designs, it is clear that the macaroni design was able to haul more weight than the paper clip design. This suggests that the shape and size of the macaroni pieces may have contributed to their ability to carry heavier loads compared to the paper clips.
