For this portfolio, imagine you are in Buenos Aires’ largest shopping mall, Abasto shopping.
During your visit to the mall, you decide to buy a few things for a family member before returning back home. Write a 10 to 15 sentence journal entry in Spanish in which you detail some of the things that you purchased at the Abasto mall. You may choose to include some of the gift and clothing accessory vocabulary words that you learned earlier in this unit.
Your journal entry should include:
A description of what you bought
Details about where you bought it
Name and relation of the person for whom you bought each gift
In your journal entry, make sure to use expressions that signal the past tense, and the preterite tense of regular –ar verbs. Remember to add an opinion to your portfolio.
Hoy fui al centro comercial Abasto y compré algunas cosas bonitas para mi familia. Primero, encontré una hermosa blusa en la tienda de moda para mi mamá. Ella se llama María y le encanta vestir a la moda, así que sé que le encantará este regalo. También compré una bufanda de lana suave en la tienda de accesorios para mi hermana pequeña, Ana. A ella le gusta estar abrigada durante el frío invierno, así que esta bufanda será perfecta para ella.
Después, me dirigí a la tienda de electrónica y compré un nuevo teléfono móvil para mi papá. Él se llama Juan y siempre está buscando la última tecnología, así que sé que estará contento con este regalo. Por último, me detuve en la tienda de juguetes y compré una muñeca para mi sobrina, Sofía. A ella le encantan las muñecas y sé que esta le va a gustar mucho.
