Europe was greatly impacted by the Cold War, as it was the main battleground between the Western allies and the Soviet Union. The division of Germany into East and West, the Berlin Airlift, the construction of the Berlin Wall, and the Cuban Missile Crisis were all key events that shaped the political landscape of Europe during the Cold War. Additionally, countries in Eastern Europe were under Soviet control, leading to the establishment of communist regimes in countries such as Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Romania.

Asia was also heavily impacted by the Cold War, particularly during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The Korean War, which lasted from 1950 to 1953, pitted North Korea, supported by China and the Soviet Union, against South Korea, backed by the United States and other Western allies. The Vietnam War, which lasted from 1955 to 1975, was a direct result of the Cold War rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union, with the North Vietnamese communist forces being supported by the Soviets, while the South Vietnamese government was backed by the Americans.

Overall, the Cold War led to significant political, social, and cultural shifts in both Europe and Asia, as countries aligned themselves with either the Western powers or the Soviet bloc, and tensions between the two superpowers shaped global events for much of the latter half of the 20th century.
