Ruining a day with negative thoughts and actions can have a domino effect on every aspect of our day. Proverbs 15:13 states, "A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed." So when we choose to focus on negativity and let it consume us, our entire day can be filled with despair. It's important to guard our hearts and minds to prevent this from happening, as Philippians 4:8 advises, "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
