What will happen if hot water is placed in three cups with three different types of insulating materials. Which material will be able to insulate and keep the hot water the warmest? In this experiment we will test the insulating properties of three different materials: Paper, Aluminum Foil, and Bubble Wrap, and see which one the three is able to keep the thermal energy in their container from escaping into the room.

The insulating properties of the three materials - Paper, Aluminum Foil, and Bubble Wrap - will determine how well they are able to keep the hot water warm in their respective cups.

Paper is a poor insulator and will likely not be able to keep the hot water warm for long as it does not have good insulating properties.

Aluminum foil is a better insulator than paper, but it is still not as effective as Bubble Wrap. Bubble Wrap is a good insulator because of the trapped air bubbles within the material, which helps to reduce heat transfer.

Therefore, in this experiment, it is likely that the hot water in the cup insulated with Bubble Wrap will remain the warmest for the longest period of time, as it is the most effective insulating material of the three options.
