Challenges

Provide three challenges that Singapore is facing. One point for each.

1. Aging population: Singapore is facing the challenge of an aging population, with a declining birth rate and increasing life expectancy leading to a rapidly growing elderly population. This presents challenges in terms of healthcare, pension sustainability, and labor force participation.

2. Income inequality: Despite Singapore's strong economic growth, income inequality has been rising in recent years. The gap between the wealthy and the lower-income groups has widened, leading to social tensions and concerns about social mobility and inclusivity.

3. Environmental sustainability: Singapore is a small, densely populated city-state with limited natural resources. The country faces challenges in ensuring sustainable development, managing waste, and mitigating the impact of climate change. Rising sea levels and extreme weather events pose a threat to Singapore's infrastructure and economy.
