If they wanted things to be done differently in World War 1, maybe they could have talked more and tried to solve problems peacefully. They could have tried to understand each other's feelings and not just fight with weapons. They could have also shared food and helped each other instead of hurting each other. And maybe they could have played games and had fun together instead of fighting. That would have been much better.
