The primary grievance against King George, the third and parliament was over the colonists

Right to sell sugar without being taxed
Right being violated by red coats at the Boston massacre
Belief that their civil liabilities have been violated
In ability to hold a public office in the colony

The primary grievance against King George III and Parliament was the belief that their civil liberties had been violated. This included issues such as taxation without representation, the imposition of unfair tariffs and trade laws, and the presence of British troops enforcing these laws in the colonies (such as during the Boston Massacre). The colonists also felt that they were being denied their rights as British citizens, including the ability to hold public office in the colonies.
