Intersectionality definition with a reference

Intersectionality is a concept that describes how various forms of discrimination and oppression, such as those based on race, gender, sexuality, and class, intersect and overlap with one another. This intersectional approach recognizes that individuals may experience multiple layers of marginalization and privilege, and emphasizes the importance of considering these intersecting identities and their impact on a person's experiences and opportunities.
