Read the passages.

Passage One
Coral reefs that are falling apart are only one problem affecting ocean environment. Skeletons of dead coral animals make up coral reefs. Because living corals do not thrive without sun, they attach to the top of the reef. Without specific amounts of light, temperature, and oxygen, the coral reef cannot continue to support life. If the problems of erosion and pollution continue, there will not be a suitable home for sea life.

Passage Two
Thousands of fish would not have anywhere to live without coral reefs. Beautiful white, sandy beaches would not exist without any reef. There is nowhere that is better for diving because of the brilliant and beautiful marine life that lives among the reefs. But only a few parks have been established to protect the fragile environment of coral reefs.
