I would also give this species the ability to thrive in a wide range of habitats and climates, ensuring that it can spread quickly and cause widespread damage. Additionally, I would give this species a highly aggressive nature, allowing it to outcompete native species for resources and dominate the ecosystem. Finally, I would design this species to have a voracious appetite, rapidly depleting food sources and further destabilizing the ecosystem.
