As she continued her search, Alice stumbled upon a small clearing where she spotted Billy, wounded and alone. Without hesitation, she rushed to his side and gently helped him up, ignoring her own safety in the process. Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw the pain in Billy's eyes, and she knew she had to do everything in her power to help him.
Alice quickly took off her own coat and wrapped it around Billy, shielding him from the cold night air. She then carefully lifted him onto her shoulders and began to carry him back to safety, despite the exhaustion and fear that gripped her every step of the way.
