The Vietnam War was the first war that was televised nightly, allowing the world to see the action almost immediately. Not surprisingly, many began to protest the actions they saw. How do you think you would have reacted to seeing images of the war every night on the evening news? Explain what you might have done. (This should be a fully developed paragraph.)

If I were alive during the Vietnam War and saw the images of the conflict every night on the news, I believe I would have been deeply disturbed and likely would have joined in the protests against the war. The graphic and heartbreaking scenes of violence and suffering would have been incredibly difficult to witness on a daily basis, and I would have felt compelled to speak out against the senseless loss of life. I would have joined in marches, signed petitions, and used my voice to demand an end to the war and the safe return of all soldiers. The power of the media to bring the realities of war into our living rooms would have ignited a strong sense of moral outrage in me, and I would have felt a responsibility to take action in any way I could.
