My top three interests are Artistic, Investigative, and Social. My first choice among the three is Investigative. I am naturally curious and enjoy analyzing complex problems to find solutions. This interest corresponds with dental hygiene as it requires critical thinking skills to assess and diagnose oral health issues, as well as perform research to stay current on new procedures and technologies. For example, when investigating the cause of a patient's persistent bad breath, a dental hygienist must explore potential factors such as poor oral hygiene, diet, or underlying health conditions in order to provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
