Explain what you understand by field crop and production

Field crop refers to plants that are grown on a large scale in open fields for commercial purposes. These crops include grains, oilseeds, fiber crops, and other crops that are primarily grown for food, feed, or industrial use. Field crops are typically planted and harvested in large quantities using mechanized equipment.

Production, on the other hand, refers to the process of growing and harvesting crops or raising livestock for commercial purposes. This includes preparing the land, planting the crops, managing pests and diseases, irrigating and fertilizing the crops, and finally harvesting and selling the products. Production also involves post-harvest activities such as processing, storing, and transporting the crops to market. The goal of production is to generate a profit by maximizing yield and quality while minimizing costs and risks.
