Andrew Young is best known as an American politician, diplomat, and civil rights activist. He was a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement, working closely with Martin Luther King Jr. and serving as executive director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Young later became the US Ambassador to the United Nations and Mayor of Atlanta. He was also involved in efforts to improve social and economic conditions in developing countries as the co-founder of GoodWorks International.
