Omission bias, on the other hand, refers to the tendency for individuals to perceive harmful actions as worse than harmful omissions, even when the consequences of inaction may be more severe. In other words, status quo bias is about a preference for the existing state of things, while omission bias is about a bias towards inaction rather than action.
