One important event in The Jungle Book is when Mowgli is kidnapped by the monkeys and taken to the monkey city. If this event had not happened, Mowgli would not have had the opportunity to interact with Baloo, Bagheera, and other jungle animals, ultimately learning important life lessons from them. Without this experience, Mowgli may not have grown as close to his animal family and may not have become the brave and resourceful boy that he is by the end of the story.
