Read the following poem and background information. "The Armenian Language is the Home of the Armenian" by Moushegh Ishkhan

Background Information:
Because of the religious prejudice, Armenains were frequently harassed and the victims of oppression by the Turkish government. In the early 1900s, many Western countries began to officially object to the treatment of the Armenian people. The Turkish government was afraid that Western countries might send troops to fight them and help the Armenians. Their solution was to forcibly evict the entire Armenian population.
