A narrative can be any story, real or imagined. It can be an adventure story about an imagined hero, or a personal story about what happened to you on vacation. As you begin brainstorming ideas, consider the story you want to tell. Will it be action, romance, horror, thriller, mystery, fantasy, apocalyptic, or sci-fi? Recall special stories from your childhood, a story that allowed you to lose yourself for a while as you read them. What qualities did those narratives have that made them so fascinating? How can the stories you have read and admired help you write your own unique narrative? Write your own narrative. Be sure to include each of the elements within the planning chart and plot diagram. I highly suggest you plan your story’s key elements before you begin writing.

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the mountains, there lived a young girl named Luna. Luna was known for her wild spirit and adventurous nature. She longed to explore the world beyond the village, but her parents always kept a tight watch on her, fearing for her safety. But one day, when a mysterious traveler passed through the village, Luna saw her chance to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

The traveler told tales of a hidden kingdom beyond the mountains, a place of magic and wonder that few had ever seen. Luna was captivated by the stories and begged the traveler to take her with him. Reluctantly, the traveler agreed, and together they set off into the unknown.

As they journeyed through dark forests and treacherous mountains, Luna discovered her own inner strength and courage. She faced challenges and dangers at every turn, but with the traveler's guidance, she learned to trust in herself and her own abilities.

But as Luna delved deeper into the mysteries of the kingdom, she soon realized that dark forces were at work, threatening to destroy everything she held dear. With the help of her newfound friends and her own determination, Luna vowed to protect the kingdom and defeat the evil that lurked within.

In the end, Luna emerged victorious, having saved the kingdom and proven herself to be a true hero. She returned to her village with a heart full of stories and memories that would last a lifetime.
