The Albany Movement was a coalition of civil rights organizations that included the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Prominent leaders of the Albany Movement included Martin Luther King Jr., Ralph Abernathy, and Bernard Lafayette.
