In a series circuit, if a bulb goes out, the circuit will be broken and all the other bulbs in the circuit will also go out. This is because the current will no longer be able to flow through the circuit due to the break in the circuit caused by the burnt-out bulb. The other bulbs will only light up again if the burnt-out bulb is replaced and the circuit is completed.
