Outline 3 categories of human rights

1. Civil and Political Rights:

- Right to life, liberty, and security of person
- Right to freedom of expression, thought, and religion
- Right to a fair trial and due process
- Right to participate in government and elections
- Right to freedom of assembly and association

2. Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights:
- Right to work and just and favorable conditions of work
- Right to education and access to healthcare
- Right to an adequate standard of living, including food, clothing, and housing
- Right to cultural and religious participation
- Right to social security and protection in times of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age, or other lack of livelihood

3. Collective Rights:
- Right to self-determination for indigenous peoples and minorities
- Right to peace and security
- Right to sustainable development and environmental protection
- Right to participation in decision-making processes that affect their lives and communities
- Right to preserve and promote their languages, cultures, and traditions.
