Since its addition to the US in 1898, Puerto Rico has seen some cultural changes as the influence of American culture grew stronger on the island. 1. Some things that make traveling to Puerto Rico easier for Americans are that US citizens do not need a passport to visit Puerto Rico and do not have to go through customs when traveling there since it is a US territory.

2. One thing that surprised me about Puerto Rico is the unique blend of Spanish and American culture on the island, and how proud the people are of their heritage.

3. If I had to describe Puerto Rico using only one word, I would use the word "vibrant" because the island is full of life, energy, and color in its culture, food, music, and people.
