Look at early works, such as Beowulf or The Odyssey, and analyze the types of monsters or supernatural beings that are featured and how they are depicted. Then, move on to more modern works, such as Frankenstein or Dracula, and analyze how the portrayal of monsters and the supernatural has changed.

Additionally, consider how societal beliefs and fears influenced the portrayal of monsters and the supernatural in different time periods.
