For 7 days keep track of the number of pieces of mail you receive at your home.

a. Put your data into a frequency table having intervals of 0–4, 5–9, 10–14, and 15–19.
b. Use the frequency table to create a histogram of the data.
c. Do you notice any patterns in the histogram?

a.

| Interval | Frequency |
|------------|-----------|
| 0-4 | 3 |
| 5-9 | 2 |
| 10-14 | 1 |
| 15-19 | 1 |

b.

3| x
2| x
Number of 1|
Pieces 0|
-+-------------------
0-4 5-9 10-14 15-19

c. From the histogram, it appears that the majority of days had 0-4 pieces of mail received at the home, with a smaller number of days having 5-9 pieces of mail. There were only a couple of days with 10-14 pieces of mail and 15-19 pieces of mail. Overall, there is a downward trend in the frequency as the number of pieces of mail increases.
