A company has two brands of fertilizers A and B for sell. A cooperative bought 10 quintals of brand A and 27 quintals of brand B

fertilizers and paid a total of Birr 20,000. Tolosa a successful farm
owner, bought 15 quintals of brand A and 9 quintals of brand B
fertilizers from the same company and paid a total of Birr 14, 250

Let the price of 1 quintal of brand A fertilizer be x and the price of 1 quintal of brand B fertilizer be y.

According to the given information:
10x + 27y = 20000
15x + 9y = 14250

Solving the above two equations simultaneously, we get:
x = 550
y = 400

Therefore, the price of 1 quintal of brand A fertilizer is Birr 550 and the price of 1 quintal of brand B fertilizer is Birr 400.
