Elizabeth is torn between her loyalty to her sister and her feelings for Mr. Bingley's friend, Mr. Darcy. In response to the conflict, Elizabeth decides to confront Mr. Darcy about his role in separating Jane and Mr. Bingley. Through this confrontation, Elizabeth learns more about Mr. Darcy's true character and ultimately comes to see him in a new light. The outcome of this conflict ultimately leads to Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy overcoming their misunderstandings and eventually falling in love.
