What problem did Indigenous people in Mexico have prior to the Mexican Revolution?

Prior to the Mexican Revolution, Indigenous people in Mexico faced various problems including land displacement, marginalization, discrimination, exploitation, and lack of political representation. They were often forced off their ancestral lands by wealthy landowners, mining companies, and the government, leading to loss of traditional livelihoods and cultural heritage. Indigenous individuals were also subjected to discrimination and social exclusion, facing limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Additionally, they had little to no political power and were often denied basic civil rights. These issues fueled discontent and resentment among Indigenous communities, contributing to the social unrest that eventually led to the Mexican Revolution.
