Before starting my observations in a classroom, I expected to see desks and chairs arranged in rows or small groups, a teacher's desk at the front of the room, a whiteboard or chalkboard, educational materials and resources such as textbooks and supplies, posters or charts related to the subject matter, technology such as a computer and projector, and students actively engaged in learning activities. I also expected to see a structured and organized environment, with a clear lesson plan and instructions provided by the teacher.
