Why is Iodine only found in Oklahoma in the U.S.?

Iodine is not only found in Oklahoma in the U.S. While Oklahoma does have significant iodine deposits, it is also found in other states such as Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. The reason these states have iodine deposits is due to the geologic history of the region, with iodine being present in certain types of rocks and minerals that are found in these areas. Additionally, iodine can also be found in seawater and in some marine plants and animals.
