How did Carl linneaus original classification system differ from today?

He did not classify all the way down to species level.
He did not consider how organisms may be related to one another.
He only had two kingdoms, animals and plants.
He was a botanist so he only classified.

He did not use DNA or genetic information for classification.

Today, classification systems are much more detailed and take into account genetic relationships between organisms. Linnaeus' original system has been revised and expanded to include more kingdoms, such as fungi, protists, and bacteria. Advancements in technology and understanding of evolutionary relationships have also led to more accurate and precise classification systems.
