Describe the relationship between force and work

Force and work are directly related to each other. In physics, work is defined as the amount of energy transferred by a force acting on an object that causes it to move a certain distance. The formula to calculate work is W = F * d, where W is work, F is the force applied, and d is the distance over which the force is applied.

In other words, work is done when a force is applied to an object and causes it to move a distance. The greater the force applied, the more work is done. Conversely, if no force is applied, no work is done. This relationship between force and work shows that they are interconnected concepts in physics.
