COMMON CHARACTERISTICS OF MAMMALS:

Kangaroos, like other mammals, share several common characteristics. They are warm-blooded vertebrates with hair or fur covering their bodies. They give birth to live young and nurse them with milk produced by mammary glands. Additionally, kangaroos have a four-chambered heart, breathe air through lungs, and typically have a placenta during pregnancy. These shared characteristics place kangaroos in the class of mammals.
