Plant cells can use energy from the sun to make food. Animals cells cannot which organelle is responsible for this difference between plant and animal cells

The organelle responsible for this difference between plant and animal cells is the chloroplast. Chloroplasts are found in plant cells and are the site of photosynthesis, the process by which plants use sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose (sugar) and oxygen. Animal cells do not have chloroplasts and are therefore unable to perform photosynthesis.
