In what way did the 22nd amendment relate to Franklin D. Roosevelt?

The 22nd amendment to the United States Constitution imposed term limits on the presidency, stating that no individual could be elected to the office of President more than twice. This amendment was a response to Franklin D. Roosevelt's unprecedented four terms in office, as he served as President from 1933 until his death in 1945. The 22nd amendment was ratified in 1951 in order to prevent any future President from serving more than two terms, in an effort to uphold the principle of democratic governance and prevent any one individual from holding too much power for an extended period of time.
