Benito Mussolini

Benito Mussolini was an Italian politician and leader who founded the Italian Fascist Party and ruled Italy as its dictator from 1922 to 1943. He came to power by forming a coalition with other right-wing groups and exploiting economic and political instability in Italy after World War I. Mussolini's regime was characterized by authoritarian rule, censorship, and suppression of political opposition. He aligned Italy with Nazi Germany during World War II, but was eventually overthrown and executed by Italian partisans in 1945.
