Think about a story you want to write. It can be completely made up or a personal narrative. Once you decide what your story is going to be about, write an introduction for your story.

Remember that your introduction should do the following:

get the reader’s interest (hook)
give the reader a setting/context
introduce a narrator (point of view)
introduce a main character

The cool autumn breeze danced through the trees, carrying with it the scent of fallen leaves and wood smoke. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the small town of Willow Creek, the streets began to quiet down. In the heart of the town stood a cozy little bookstore called "Pages & Prose," its windows glowing invitingly in the fading light.

Inside, a young woman named Alice sat behind the counter, flipping through the pages of a well-loved novel. With her dark hair pulled back in a messy bun and a pair of oversized glasses perched on her nose, she looked every bit the part of a bookworm. Alice loved nothing more than losing herself in the pages of a good book, and she had dreamed of owning her own bookstore for as long as she could remember.

Little did she know, that dream was about to come true in ways she never could have imagined.
