I agree with my friend's statement that plastic is one of the worst inventions made by humans because of its detrimental impact on the environment. Plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose, leading to pollution of land, waterways, and oceans. The production and disposal of plastic also contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and harm wildlife through ingestion and entanglement. Additionally, microplastics have been found in our food and water sources, potentially posing health risks to humans. While plastic has its uses, its widespread and excessive use has caused significant damage to our planet.
