The Apple scab pathogen, known scientifically as Venturia inaequalis, has a host range that primarily includes apple and crabapple trees. However, it can also infect pear trees and some other members of the Rosaceae family. In addition to apple and pear, the pathogen can also infect hawthorn, quince, and cotoneaster trees.
