red, gold, and green. These colors represent the country’s struggle
for independence and the rich resources within its borders. The red
represents the blood of the forefathers who led the struggle of
independence and shared their blood through death. The gold
represents the mineral resources found in the Ashanti region of
Ghana. The green symbolizes Ghana’s rich forests and natural
wealth. The black star is a symbol used to represent the
emancipation of Africa and the unity against colonialism.
