Defination of puberty

Puberty refers to the stage of development during which physical changes occur in both boys and girls as they reach sexual maturity. It is a natural and normal process that typically begins around the ages of 9 to 14 years old and is characterized by the development of secondary sexual characteristics such as breast development in girls and facial hair growth in boys. Other changes include the growth spurt, maturation of reproductive organs, and the onset of menstruation in girls or the production of sperm in boys. Along with physical changes, puberty is also accompanied by emotional and psychological changes as adolescents transition from childhood to adulthood.
